Russian hacker group RaHDIt leaks data on Ukrainian SVR agents working in the missions of the UN, the EU, and NATO.
Russian hacker group RaHDIt has made public the personal information of more than 1,500 employees of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of Ukraine.
An unnamed law enforcement source confirmed to Sputnik the authenticity of the data published on the hacker group’s website Nemezida (Nemesis) on Monday.
According to the news agency, “The information pertains to Ukrainian SVR agents working under the cover of embassies in more than 20 countries, including the US, France, Italy, Germany, Poland as well as Azerbaijan, Argentina, Hungary, Greece, Iraq, South Africa, Tajikistan, and others.”
Sputnik also pointed out that the “RaHDIt hackers disclosed data on Ukrainian SVR agents working in the missions of the UN, the EU, and NATO, plus 40 Ukrainian SVR locations within Ukraine, including one based at an educational establishment.”
The Russian hacker group mentioned that the published data included information about the relatives of the agents of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) and individuals who have been receiving payments from GUR bank accounts.
However, RaHDit told Sputnik that it was not planning to make public information about underage relatives of Ukrainian officers.
The news agency cited the hackers as saying that among the GUR officers are “alleged drug addicts and former criminals convicted of robbery, the illegal trafficking of weapons and drugs, infliction of grave bodily injuries, and rape.”
The Russian hacker group also noted that the leaked information included the hobbies of GUR officers, such as gambling and unconventional personal preferences.
RaHDit said they handed over the data to law enforcement bodies.
Data of 1,000 Ukrainian military intelligence personnel leaked
It is noteworthy that earlier this year, RaHDit released data on 1,000 GUR employees, and in July, it published information on 2,500 GUR officers.
The hacker group had mentioned how flaws in the protection of the GUR Central Bureau’s network on Rivalsky Island and analysis of big data according to user behavior’s characteristic patterns aided in shaping the database.
Interestingly, representatives of diplomatic missions in Russia, Austria, Italy, India, Vietnam, Iran, Turkey, and South Africa are among the revealed spies.
Furthermore, data regarding military intelligence curators in Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Slovakia, sabotage instructors, as well as representatives of special forces to perform undercover investigations and power intelligence were disclosed and available.
The hacking group also released information about 700 Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) employees.
